“The Institute wants to be in the Church a family of consecrated Christians to Divine Love, that is to say to Holy Trinity. In its life, as in a mirror, the image of this Trinity must see itself, which essence is love, since every of the Three Divine Person is the complete donation of the other.” Cost. 1
Spirituality of the Oblate to Divine Love
The spirituality of the Institute of the Oblate to Divine Love is based on Love. Love that must be the main motor that creates, directs and establishes in God all that we are, we have and we do. Therefore, it shows oneself in a characteristic lifestyle that assimilates, lives and communicates a strong desire to love and grows in the charity.
Spirit of the Institute: Adoration, Reparation and Apostleship.
Adoration: To do of life a continuous prayer. To admire, to know, to diffuses and to confess the unlimited greatness of God, Creator and Saviour ; Lord of all that exists.
The Eucharistic Adoration , in the life of the Oblates to Divine Love, must be the summit of a life completely donated to God and to brothers.
”The constant prayer of an Oblate to Divine Love, must be this one : Oh Jesus, makes my soul to be an adorer in spirit and in truth”( MMDC)
Reparation: To love up to extreme. The love gives the importance to the redemption, to the reparation, to the expiation. To live in a constant behavior of humility of obeisance with regards to God. To live as victim, it means to offer own life, to sacrifice yourself ,to accept the cross, to die interiorly, to embrace the mission of Christ, especially from the Gethsemane to the Calvary.
Apostolate: “The loved of our hearts committed to us the Apostolate of His love”. (MMDC).
To make know Love, to adore him, to thank Him, to sacrifice for Him. An apostolate that requires sacrifice and constant offering of itself, in the attitude of availability to pander to the longing of the Church and to the diffusion of the Kingdom of God.
The inheritance left from Mother Margherita
The concept of spirituality left to us from Mother Margherita Diomira Crispi is very rich and diverse in its different sides:
Trinitary: The Oblate Sister must live the experience of a God Triple and One, Who is UNITY and COMMUNION inseparable.
Christ in the middle: In virtue of the charisma of Love and Oblation, the Oblate Sister does her mission of Christ Highest and Eternal Priest, victim of sacrifice, especially from the Gethsemane to the Calvary.
Eucharist: The Eucharist is the source unquenchable missionary impulse. In every celebration of the Eucharist, the Oblate revives his belief in the centrality of the Paschal Mystery of Christ.
Cult and Devotion to holy heart of Jesus: The Oblate Sister has the hard look in the pierced breast of Christ and she tries to return to this heart that loved so much all the world; living in a spirit of reparation and of constant adoration and activity of thanks.
Of Mary: Mary is the model of faith and charity, model of every oblation for its total cohesion to the will of the Father. The Oblate Sister venerates Her and contemplates Her in the mistery of Her glorious Assumption.
Of Saint Ignazio: a project soaked of the Greatest Glory of God, in total availability to the will of the Father, headed by the Holy Spirit amounted to Christ, in harmony of Love and service to the Church; opened to the signs of the times, giving all the strengths to the diffusion and to the building of the kingdom, becoming CONTEMPLATIVES IN THE ACTION.
The charisma, acquired by the Mother Margherita , finds its birth, its source in the greatest mystery, in the heart of the main mystery, that is to say in the Love of the Trinity, that is the heart of the Trinity.
For that, an Oblate Sister to Divine Love must, through the prayer, the contemplation, the life, to do experience of the life of the Trinity.
From our name, two words derives that are a program of life for every Sister: Love and Oblation, because that characterizes the offer, is Love.
Therefore, we try to live our religious consecration under the specific appearance of the oblation to God, as grateful response to the Divine Love revealed in Jesus Christ and that works continuously in ourselves by means of His Spirit. The love is divine because it comes from God and it joins us to Him, through a process that unites us, that transforms us in a WE, that overtakes our divisions and it converts us in a one thing, as long as we will become “ all in everyone” . God is Love.
The symbolism of the daisy
Center: the gold botton, means Love, Deus Charitas est. God is charity. Love is the characteristic of our Institute.
Petals: pureness, naturalness and humility.
“ A large number of Devouts of every kind and properties exist in the Church. They the regal clothing make colourful of the bride of the Nazarene who decorates with thousand flowers the terrestrial garden of the wandering Church.
Between these devouts, there are the Oblate Sister to Divine Love, every of us doesn’t arrange an essential colour, but a skimming of the royal mantle of our Holy Mother, the Church, which represent the simple daisy dares you check and search the place, albeit the last, amid the splendor and fragrance of lush flowers of the mystical Eden ..."
