At the age of 18, she felt strongly the conversion to the religious life. After praying, meditating and fighting against herself, in 1901 she decided to join the Congregation of the “Girls of the Cross” in France. On 2 September 1902, she made her first vows, renouncing the name of Diomira and taking the name of “Aloysa Margherita”.

After a few years of religious life and praying hard, helped by her spiritual director, Monsignor Ettore Savazzini, she understands that God had plans for her: He wanted Aloysa to found a new religious institution. So, it was founded in Sicily in 1923. Its objectives are: the Consecration to the Triune God, devotion to Christ, obedience to the Vicar of Christ, prayer and cooperation with the Catholic priesthood, upbringing of children and young people, realization of the Kingdom of God with humility and love.

What she sowed in Italy, developed in America, though with difficulty, and after praying for a long time and after many sacrifices, she finally saw the happy results of her activity. Only by praying, and contemplating God in the Holy Communion, she found the necessary strength to carry out her wonderful plans.

The light that shone on her way that was often hard-won and arduous, because he deeds of God can be realized only by the prayer, by the meditation and by the fight against oneself. For her, the Virgin has always been a “true” mother and Aloysa was Her favorite daughter.

In prayer, in contemplation of Jesus in the Eucharist he found the strength necessary to implement his wonderful projects, found that light that illuminated his path, often contrasted and tiring, because the works of God are realized only in prayer, in meditation and in the fight.

Madonna has always been for her a true "mom" and she felt that her beloved daughter.
