COLEGIO NESTRA SE?ORA LOURDES 2009In the year 1965 the first sisters arrived to Panama, thanks to the help of the Brothers of the Salle that profusely offered a house and all they need meanwhile they arranged  and opened the first work.

In the April 18 of the 1966 the nursery school and the elementary school opened . From the first moment counted on a Chaplain, a Jesuit priest.

From the beginning the sisters furnished to the pupils education in the moral and spirituals virtues, also to offer them an solid academic education according to the needs of  the society and of the actual moment.

In 1974 the authorization to build the College are asked in a property that they bought in Villa Zaita. With the help of the parents and of the consent of the Mother of May got off to the construction  of the actual College Nuestra Señora de Lourdes.

  COLEGIO LOURDESIt was builded for phases and year by year the sisters, with sacrifice spirit continue to offer to children and to young people a building more modern and  comfortable . 

Today it is a most qualified Institutions, not only in the academic and scientific education but also in the cultural education . The sisters, together the teachers offer to the girl student the opportunity to participate to the events that achieve in the cultural, sports, scientific, academic aspect.

The ex boy students and girls students are much near and they participate to the cultural and religious events that are organized by the College.

The educational offering starts from the nursery school to the Baccalaureate.

They works in integrated way with the parents, whom form a committee of the Parents with whom are organized much cultural and religious events.

The sisters collaborate with the  parish, offering the catechesis of the sacraments for the Holy Communion and the Confirmation . They offer a catechesis to the couples without the sacrament of the marriage. The spiritual education has been one of the worries of the sisters, the sisters compensate for the needs and the empty that is to the centre of the families.

As it is usually, in all our work and in above all in the educational works, every Thursday we do the Eucharistic Adoration and every months all the pupils participate actively to the Saint Eucharistic.

PENONOMEThis work is canonically erected on July 28, 1974 by Ecc.mo Mons. Marcos McGrath, Archbishop of Panama under the name casa Maria Inmacolata.

It began as a work of evangelization in the parish to which he belonged. From the very beginning has made an agreement between the Archdiocese of Panama and the Vicariate of Penonomé  PENONOMEthat PENONOME religiose worked in parish Ministry, administration of the Paul VI Center under the guidance of the Episcopal vicar and also in catechesis. The family visits were religious and carried a message of the Gospel to all the people who needed to listen and help. The parish offered a salary for women religious.

 

PENONOMEThen, work in the field of evangelization was very large, so the girls arrived with concern of vocations and the House was opened as a shelter for the aspirants.

PENONOME2009In 1999 it opened in the same premises the Collegio San Ignacio de Loyola, started a nursery and then later formed up to now the elementary school.

 

PENONOMECurrently the educational offer is given from preschool to sixth grade. He placed the building according to the requirements, and so religious teachers provide collection offer a qualified education in academic, moral, spiritual and scientific.

Religious form in Oblate spirituality teachers and so together the Committee of parents realize many cultural and religious events.

The religious community continues his service in the parish evangelization and works in training Lay Oblates to divine love. Every week is a gathering to do Eucharistic adoration and hear the word of God and the writings of Mother Margarita Diomira Crispi.

The aim of the Institution is to create a family of consecrated christian to the Trinity .
